I saw this on Facebook from one of my Facebook friends who is actually religious in a very annoying way, and apparently, she was still sore from the last time I simply posted a comment on one of your statuses that just said something like, "That's nice and all, but God doesn't actually exist, you know." So my comment on THIS was just something like, "This article was completely disappointing. Nothing on the list counts as proof of anything whatsoever." Then she commented directly at me something to the tune of, "You can keep trying to attack my faith, but I believe in God." So my next comment was something like, "WHOA, sister. Hold on a minute. That comment I just made was not an attack on your faith at all. I was just observing that the article title was deceiving. Believe in God all you want, I'm just not sure why anyone would want to with the Problem of Evil and all." And then no one else commented at all.

Oh wow! How can you argue with all that proof! Come on people, open up your eyes! 
I have some christian facebook friends too, most of them from my old life, and it annoys me when they post links to "proof" that god exists, and that the bible is the inspired word of god. If I post a link in response to theirs, refuting their "evidence", or offer up my own thoughts, I'm evil and just blind that I can't see all the signs god is showing me. The poor souls.

I've lost quite a few Facebook friends in my continued effort to disseminate information that I find enlightening, and usually, directly in contrast with religion. I take that to mean I'm doing something right and if they feel I'm being obnoxious about it, well then, welcome to my experience of living in the US.

I try really hard to represent myself in a way I approve of on Facebook, because I have set almost everything to Public on there, and I generally assume that even if I think it is private, it really somehow is not. Occasionally due to the impulsiveness that comes with my ADHD and being human I just can't help myself and I say something I know I probably shouldn't. And it usually turns out exactly the way I expected, and I'm like, "Why did I even say that? I totally knew what would happen. As I get older, I find I get better and better at foreseeing what the consequences of the things I say and do will be. I know I'm just gaining worldy experience, but it feels like a superpower. It feels like being precognitive. And that is fucking cool.

Yeah, I don't understand how moderates can really believe an omniscient god couldn't communicate in a way that everyone could understand exactly what he meant. If I need "Dr."Jimmy Sonofabitch to tell me what god really meant then I'm thinking god isn't such a bright bulb.
 Part of God's plan is apparently for those" intermediarys" to live in big houses and drive nice cars!
