RE: how do you make ends meet?

My apologies. I took "hate to see people wasting their lives" as a generalization. Now I see I took it out of context.
However, people who use marijuana can love it but not abuse it. Just like I would be shocked if someone I knew said they hate beer. I love beer, but I haven't been drunk since I was in college.
I also don't see marijuana use as an adult as any better or worse than alcohol use.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I study full time to become a pharmacist and work part time at a pharmacy as a technician. After being in the fast food business and nursing, this is by far the best job I've had. I just made the three year mark and I'm still not bored. Yay!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

First, I spoke of one specific person, not "everyone." I agree that many people can safely use weed and alcohol.
Second, I have reason to suspect that ftw abuses drugs - this post. Casual users generally aren't shocked when someone says that they don't like using. MAN, did you interpret that post wrong. I have been under the influence of weed exactly 3 times in my entire life. Is it still in any way your view that it is even possible that I am a person who is abusing drugs?

I still wish you'd investigate alternatives to psych meds though.

Lolwut. Futile did not take her Vivanyse yesterday, and as far as I know she hasn't taken it today due to not being able to sleep. She's been acting excitable for reasons unknown, and I, for one, enjoy her excited side but appreciate her desire for sleep more so.

I love how he doesn't realize that the "alternative to psych meds" is having the shit kicked out of your mind by mental illness. What a naive little fucker!

What a naive little fucker! You're misrepresenting me. I said I'm OK with psych meds if they're working. However, she has said that she's on an antidepressant and it isn't helping her depression.

However, she has said that she's on an antidepressant and it isn't helping her depression. That has been true for about 1 year. It has been untrue for about 2 years, the first 2 years I have taken it. I think this means that taking by taking an antidepressant that has worked for 2 years, it means that this 1 year that has not been helping me is just due to the severity of my depression for that entire year, and the severity of my depression is just something I have to deal with until it is less again.
What the hell, I'll ask you this question: What do YOU think it means?

It could mean that your brain chemistry is all messed up from taking various drugs for years, and is in need of a reset. I'm just suggesting you look into it. I know from past experience that people get very defensive about their drugs, so your and others' reactions don't surprise me, but I want to plant the seed anyway.
