I kinda wanna go one of those shows just to jerk people around. It would be really funny if they tried to heal me and of course it doesn't work.

This actually sounds a lot like that weird form of martial arts. I forgot the name of it. The idea is an expert is supposed to be able to direct and even throw people without touching them, probably using some form of chi/ki/qi bullshit. There are all sorts of videos you can find on YouTube of people being thrown around by this one guy. There are also videos of people debunking the whole thing. You see, it turns out, if you don't believe in that form of martial arts, it has no power on you. It makes you wonder how useful it is.
That being said, there are two reasons the people would have been thrown around like that: 1) They're in on the act. 2) They legitimately believe it, and are basically doing the same thing described in this thread. |
