It's a miracle, all hail the power of The Nine!

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ennead

IMO their miracle is even more miraculous than the Quran miracles because they didn't need to faff about with a book to do it. They made their miracle an intrinsic part of mathematics.

Not to mention their miraculous dnb tune, given to us by the prophets Bad Company, which was released on vinyl and played at 45rpm. 4+5=9

It's not interesting, not miraculous and plays directly into the functions of the human brain that have evolved to spot patterns. It's an evolved ability put to pointless use.

You're welcome.

MM

show me one. the best/most impressive they have.
thank you

I am not familiar with the "rules" of peotry, but i thought keeping a good metre or rhyme scheme is not that difficult, i might be wrong.

If you are not able to grasp the point that ManMachine was attempting to make, then really you have no authority to lecture to us on the mysteries of random numbers that may or may not have any significance in an Irrelevant and silly book.

MM

you said they found far more intersting things in their texts. Show me one of it, the most intersting or whatever you wanna call it.

The point (again, which you appear to have missed) is that NONE of them are interesting.

Numerology is a bullshit field of 'interest' that creates nothing worthy of debate and that does nothing to advance human society.

There's a reason that only crackpots and theologists study numerology. Think hard on what the reason might be.

Assigning meaning to patterns is superstition. It's what humans do all of the time.

It's the meaning of the link that's important, and if you can find no meaningful link your claim remains an interesting observation and no more.

I believe I'm correct in observing that in early biblical texts it was a method of writing in mathematical patterns to form the text. Just like Limerick's follow a pattern, only more complex. What does that do to support the existence of a deity or of the supernatural? Absolutely nothing.

@OP,

If you're that enamored with the result of numbers, go research the Mandelbrot Set and have your mind blown.

Huh? A "numerical miracle?" Is Islam really this retarded?

RE: numerical mriacle.....again
I am not into numerical miracles but this one is my Fav anyway

Number of times the word “land” appears in the Qur’an = 13
Number of times the word “sea” appears in the Qur’an = 32
Proportion of dry land to sea covering the Earth = 13/45 = 29%
Proportion of sea to dry land on Earth = 32/45 = 71%

There is a meaning at least.

Well there is no reason not to? Should I just close my eyes when looking at it.

The only meaning is that you want there to be a meaning.
NOT logic:
1. Claim to have logic
2. Throw a tantrum when asked to present it
3. Claim you've already presented it
4. Repeat step 1

I know I might be biased on the Quran so one coincidence is nothing to fret over. But the problem is it doesn't stop here...

The word “day (yavm)" appears 365 times in the Qur’an.
It takes the Earth 365 days to orbit the Sun.
