Argument #2: Evolution Of Species

It is certainly not by anything genuinely intellectual or profound that we are confounded. Rather, it is your willingness to stick with the lie when overwhelming scientific evidence discounts it.

Not true.

The FIRST response in this thread, Rev:

I have a feeling that no matter what you have already come to the conclusion that there is not and will never be any evidence for evolution.

DNA Evidence for Evolution

A much cited scholarly article explaining Genetic AND Fossil Evidence for Evolution

The Evolution of the Horse

Also, rasetsu called you out for yet again LYING:
(May 5, 2014 at 10:43 am)rasetsu Wrote: Here's the full quote from Kerkut, with your extracts in blue:

So Kerkut wasn't referring to the theory of evolution as commonly understood, which he contrasts as the "Special Theory of Evolution," but rather to an expanded, non-standard definition of his own which includes abiogenesis. So, your second argument is to quote mine and misrepresent the words of a scientist in a way that is dishonest and does not impact the standard definition of evolution in the slightest. That's fucking weak.

Please do not yell. I didn't read those links yet, I plan on getting to them. Please be patient.

Or maybe, just maybe, your ignoramus God would have thought it a good idea to imbue you with an argument worthy of consideration.

Ahh, but God has chosen even a fool as I to confound the wise.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty" I Cor 1:27

There is no confounding involved.

Just a lot of laughing at the nonsense you post.

No, you guys dismiss my arguments and me. You guys like to divert from the issue set forth in several ways:

1. Insult and mock me
2. Attack my sources - if it is Christian based it gets dismissed even though it is factual or if is an older quote it gets dismissed as out dated
3. Call me a liar even though I try my best to be honest.
4. Accuse me of quote mining when I am simply copying and pasting what I discovered.
5. Say I don't refer to the posts when I get bombarded with replys...there are like 50 of you and one of me.
6. You guys patronize me like I am a 5 year old boy with a lollipop and you pat my head and send me on my way.
7. You speak like your science is fact when most if it that you present is theory
8. Dismiss the Bible
9. Stereotype all Christian together
10. Posting gifs that insinuate that I am a complete failure or that what I write is like cow manure
I'll stop there. And even with all this I proceed forward to seven arguments. Then I might leave and go to another atheist forum and see if am I better received. Till then, good day my atheist friends. Group Hug

No. You keep citing debunked creationist sites.

Rev, do we know more things today than we did fifty years ago? Has technology improved in fifty years?

Let's start there, okay?

Of course technology has improved in 50 years for a computer hasn't morphed into an airplane.

Well, there goes my attempt at charity.

If forms can't be witnessed becoming other forms like a hasbro cartoon, "evolution" must "necessarily" be "invalid"

There is nothing factual about your sources.

In essence, you are a liar because you refuse to see the truth of reality through the theistic fog that blinds you.

Your sources are flimsy, at best.

Trying to be honest does not equal being honest.

Copying and pasting sections so the overall sentiment of the sentence is changed to fit your agenda is, in fact, quote mining.

It doesn't matter what these scientists believe - what counts, all that counts, is what they can demonstrate. Nor is truth dependent on the authority of the person speaking it. Einstein was also a practising alchemist; does that mean that we should believe in the Philosopher's Stone too?

I'm also wondering what any of this has to do with your current "argument". You remember? The one you gave such a buildup to last week.

I'll give you this, though... you're fond of your red herrings.

Edit to accomodate late-breaking news:

1997-NOV data is little changed. Note the massive differences between the beliefs of the general population and of scientists:

Group Creation Theistic Evolution Evolution
Everyone 44% 39% 10%
Scientists 5% 40% 55%

http://www.ridgecrest.ca.us/~do_while/sage/v5i10f.htm

So you see that there are scientists who do believe in creation. Also, note that the general public only 10% believe in evolution without God's intervention. If you visit this website they also have a list of scientists who embrace creation. This is wonderful news.

He hath done all things well. Unfortunately, the destructiveness of sin has tainted His once perfect creation. So He sent a Savior!
