Believe it or not.....this occurred to me last nite while I was reading. It is a question that I hope is not a koan (e.g.: "What is the sound of one hand clapping")....
To my theist friends; your god is all powerful, right? He (she/it) can do anything, right? He (she/it) is all-powerful, all knowing, all merciful, all just, right?
OK.....once your god has damned an unbeliever to hell.....is he able to release this soul from hell? Would he?
Kind of get's back to Hume's questions: "Is he willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is impotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both willing and able? Then whence is evil?

People don't go to heaven when they die; they're taken to a special room and burned.
