Atheism and happiness

There was a noticeable difference in my happiness when I stopped believing in nonsense. The difference was so great, that I had not previously realized just how truly unhappy being a theist made me.

It was pretty much the same for me. It felt like getting rid of a huge burden, and I felt more free.

I think I can safely say that letting go of my religion saved my life. So yea, I'm happier.

I dunno about you pal but sometimes I feel sad, sometimes I feel happy my mood ain't the same all the time. The only thing permanent in this life is change and it is due to change that our mood change with us.

Well that's unfortunately not always the case,

Agree people who has chronicle depression or some kind of phobia due an a common element in life live in a constant mood. Nevertheless those are the exception of the rule not the otherwise.

I'm pretty happy. Certainly happier than when I was trying to believe.

Certain kinds of religion can make people very unhappy. It's a guilt thing. But I do see that for some the belief that "something" is looking out for them, might make them feel better. It just seems like a fragile belief. It seems to fail most often when needed the most.
