Something at work that irks me

This maybe me just being too old fashioned but this irks me. You see I recently started as a pumper at a local gas station. All the time I see these beautiful young women drive up, pump their own gas and pay for it. The whole time their boyfriends will sitting in the front seat playing on his phone or something. They could at least have the decency to pump it for her while she paid inside, cause I understand there could other circumstances, like maybe she has a better job. But still to sit on your ass and not even offer to help while she drives around? Sorry for ranting.

Maybe the boyfriends are incompetent sods who wouldn't know a petrol pump from a parasol, and their girls won't LET them pump.

Meh I don't think I'd care either way. If my hypothetical boyfriend wants to pump the gas for me, great. If not, I'm fine doing it myself.
Does it/would it bother you to see a guy pay and pump gas while the girlfriend sits in the car?

Maybe the women want to fill up their own cars.
Not all females need a big stwong man to look after them.
