indoctrinating my kids

RE: indoctrinating my kids
It is 2014 and that man is saying the exact same things that I heard as a child, 50 years ago! Creepy huh? Wacky

I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Hearing the notoriously repetitive statements like that, triggers me to this day. He's doing exactly what they do in sunday school, vacation bible school, and church.

Gather a group of young, influential minds, take a handful of classic christian clone statements, make a few jokes, pass out some snacks, and finally force-feed them through repetition ad nauseam! Poof brainwashing at it's finest. Bow Down Angry

Some day those kids will turn 13 or 14 and they'll think daddy is an asshole.

Meh. Lots of kids think their dad is an asshole when they're 13 or 14. This guys problem is his kids will still think that when they're 30 or 40.

Well ironically religious people like accusing atheists of issues that only plague religion.
One cannot have true morality if they are religious and claim their morals are a result of it. Legality is not morality.

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

The man in the video is doing what my parents did to me: indoctrinating.
Christianity needs to be taught in a less head-on way.
You start with the philosophy, "love thy neighbor", and so on. Then you introduce the Bible as a book of folk tales and claims to events that happened in the past, and gently provide the argument that Jesus was a legitimately good person, and that God is more of an element of nature than some super-pissed dude in sandals.
If the apostles didn't need to force their religion into the Roman Empire, than it shouldn't need to be forced onto children.

Depends on the guys involved. Some gay men are so adorable you just want to squeeze them...

And some are badass beefcakes that a straight woman might desperately wish weren't gay.

No no... there immense tracts of brainwashing you've yet to even understand Smile This is just general cultural indoctrination... this isn't the heavy duty shit.

Dude isn't a christian homophobe, he's a conflicted christian homosexual. Did you hear how angry he got outside that dirty bookstore? He wants his knees on that sticky floor again so bad.

You do realize that gay porn has nothing whatsoever to do with real homosexuals, right?

It's just mirror neurones doing their job. It's just parents doing what they believe is their job. There is no evidence that these children grow up to be any better or any worse adults than other children.

Why are you so 'mad'? You imposing your beliefs on them would be no different, even if your belief is let them grow up and decide for themselves, there is no evidence to suggest this produces better adults either.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, but then so is every parent.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)
