Tianeptine as a cognitive enhancer

Tianeptine as a cognitive enhancer
I've been reading more and more about this SSRE, and its potentials in being a viable and useful anti-anxiety and depression medicine as well as supposedly having "nootropic" like benefits. Has anyone here seen a lot about Tianeptine (Stablon/Coaxil) or used it?

RE: Tianeptine as a cognitive enhancer
A quick look at the literature suggests that the positive cognitive effects are largely restricted to reversing the reduction in cognitive abilities associated with stress or depression. There appears to be little positive effect in healthy people (though it appears to avoid the negative effect associated with various other antidepressants).

As ever, it's best to talk to your doc about taking any medication.

Can you post the sources that you are reading?
