RE: I dare you.
Where a theist shirt and see the reactions you get.

Most of the reactions end up being from people who don't give a fuck about your personal beliefs.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Yea, they generally don't care what your religious beliefs are, unless you don't have any.
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

If I wore an "Atheist" tshirt where I live, probably no one would even notice, and those who would might either give me a high five or look the other way. If I wore it where I grew up, it would probably be a completely different story.

Time spent attending to the poor and needy while wearing such a shirt is the best representation to make. If you're going to make your statement count, it's best stated in a crowd that appreciates it, rather than a crowd that competes with it (churches).

Agreed.
However the purpose of this is to experiment religious discrimination at first hand however you have a fair point.

I'm very comfortable, in Central Texas, telling folks I don't believe. I've yet to experience any serious religious discrimination ... I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I don't wear a tee saying it because it is not the most important aspect of me as a person, and should not therefore be the first thing someone knows about me. And I'm not interested in making any statement about athiests or atheism -- after all, I'm one and only one atheist, and I'm not sure any other atheist would want me as a fucking billboard.

If we were anywhere as dramatic as Christians, we'd wear those and arrange some officers to faux arrest us in front of a Chick fil A.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Also, Zidnea, I can't even begin to describe to you, the amount of unfortunate events that had to happen, in order for you to not have a rep from me right now. I'll explain later Tongue
