Not at all. The universe is all there is so there isn't anything else. It's just getting bigger.
The universe works in ways I'm unfamiliar with. Though again, I try not to stress over it too much.

OK. See, the Earth goes around the Sun, or not exactly, they both rotate around the common centre of gravity, although their orbits are influenced by the other planets and stuff....
Oh, fuck it. 
I think the problem here is the English language.... the universe is expanding into nothing...
"universe", "expanding" and "nothing" are three words that we don't fully understand... nothing has to be something surely? 
Think about it like this:
Define 'universe' as all quanta (both matter and energy) that exist, and the space between them. This makes the term 'outside the universe' incoherent' - 'universe' = 'everything'. 'Expansion' is simply the fact that the space between the particles is getting bigger. Boru
