Why Would God Hide?
RE: Why Would God Hide?

According to xtianity, there was supposedly nothing but void for quadrillions of years. Then one day for no reason at all, this void decided to grow a brain, turn into a god and start thinking about making a universe. How did this brain survive long enough in the void to evolve into a god and where did it get its god powers from?

If you can't answer, then clearly the question is a stumper.

How can time exist if there isn't any matter?

Depends how you're defining matter, really. If you're including the fabric of space, then it probably can't. But this is the biblical void we're talking about - how can anything, including proto-gods, exist in that?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Somehow, I get the feeling that none of this was even up for consideration by Christians until science chipped away at the idea that the sky was a dome over a flat Earth that god used as a footstool. It'd be interesting to see just how the explanations changed through the ages as more knowledge became available and god wasn't where he was expected to be found. I also wonder when was the first time someone finally got exasperated enough to exclaim "science can't explain EVERYTHING" because they were tired of pushing god into one corner after another.
"science can't explain EVERYTHING" - thank you, that statement was long overdue. but one thing for sure science can do: detect intelligent design and is currently being employed in doing that.

Oh, so now we're at the quote mining and petty grandstanding stage of the "know nothing christian can't just admit defeat" process, eh? Dodgy

I'll ignore the obvious quote mine to ask exactly where science is "employed" in detecting intelligent design?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

John Pendleton wears a lab coat. That's science right there.

for instances: - SETI, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, is an exploratory science that seeks evidence of life in the universe by looking for some signature of a designed electrical magnetic technology.
- crick and orgel in their book Directed Panspermia purposed that that thru dna scientific analysis of living organisms, the dna signature could be identified which most likely originated from an alien intelligences that had let 'sailed' micro-organism that reached the earth.
- archaeologist study artifacts produced by human design.
- anthropologists study the bipedal primate fossil records to discriminate between stones that were intelligently designed tools and those formed by forces of nature.

And the fact that all of those examples directly contradict the biblical account of reality that the evolution-denying Intelligent Design movement that you are trying to equivocate with them believes means nothing to you? Dodgy

This isn't the kind of "intelligent design" that most Christians are talking about when they use the term. It has nothing whatsoever to do with gods of any sort. Also, I highly doubt that panspermia accepted as true by even a sizable minority of the scientific community, but even if aliens had seeded us, those aliens themselves would have had to have come from somewhere, rendering their "intelligent design" a moot point.

poster asked: where is science employed in detecting intelligent design? he didn't asked anything about 'christian' and I didn't post any opinion of seti or panspermia.
