Well that's silly. We are all people. Should we identify with the attrocities committed by every criminal in the history of mankind and feel guilty by proxy? I don't think so. I feel guilty for my own mistakes, I've certainly made enough bad choices to fill my guilt meter without needing to take on any guilt from other people. Surely we all have enough things to apologize for without the need to apologize for our ancestors. Besides it seems like our time would be better spent fixing the things that are wrong rather than sitting around feeling sorry for being the descendents of those who screwed things up to begin with.

I am pretty we'll versed in history, and I will tell you this. Every race has accomplishments to be proud of and many things not to be proud of. Take the Berbers for example, in many ways they were some of the most advanced people of there time, yet they sold more slaves then anyone. Or the Mexicans, whom up until the industrial revolution had some of the best planned and most beautiful cities in the world, barring the fate of their previous tenants. It is something that is univseral to humanity and has nothing to do with race, barring the xenophobia exhibited by some members of every race.
