Its just knowledge, no big deal, unless you thrive on your knowledge, the more you think you know the less you really know.

A little late to the party and this is as far as I've read so far, but don't you think it is pretty presumptuous to act as if you know how little value there is in what other people know? You have experience. Don't other people have experience? Why should we trade ours in for yours?

Where indeed? Wink Shades

Wait .. whose point are you making here?

[Doh, seems as though I'd read further earlier. Oh well this is probably good practice for a future of forgetting shit.]

I don't know about others experiences, I can only judge by my own experience, that being right or wrong, at least its my own experience.

I'm sure that's true. But don't you think the same is true from everyone else's perspective? If you substitute "my opinion" for "my experience" the effect is pretty much the same.

Haha infinity tends to do that. But yes, that's pretty much why I've been entertaining the idea of a concsciousness being seperate of the body, but like yin and yang, one can't exist/operate without the other.

Physiological experiments and occurrences show us otherwise. Brain damage results in changed consciousness. Drug use results in changed consciousness. The treatment of mental illness with medicine shows otherwise.

Studies have also shown that the mind can change the physical structures of the brain.

The same way software changes the physical structure of hardware.

Indeed. Yet more evidence of the inextricable linkage between the mind and the brain. Change one, change the other.

What there isn't is any evidence of the mind outside the brain. But there's lots of evidence that the mind ceases by the brain ceases to function.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Yes your right, its your experience, all experiences come from the mind, the actual thing that is experience is not the experience, the experience itself is secondary. That which is beyond the mind can only be pointed to, my pointing or my own experience is only that, a pointer, but what is important is that which is pointed to, that which we cannot know through the mind.
