The Newly Departed thread: announcements (departures)
RE: The Newly Departed thread: announcements (departures)
Fookin 'a Steve, I'm glad you're okay. Please, please, please get some help. Grief counseling can help so much. Sometimes you just can't do it all on your own. Heart
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

They phoned Michelle to tell her I'm okay and find out if she could be with me or me go there. Upshot is I'm okay, as in physically. Emotionally I'm still just numb. I want to apologise to everyone for all the drama I caused and thank you all for going to so much trouble for stupid old me.

I am just really glad that you're okay, Stimbo.

Thank you so much for checking in, brotha. You don't need to apologize, any trouble we took was our own decision. No one made anyone do anything.

Please broaden your support network, here and elsewhere, so that when these emotional moments come on, you have someone to turn to, no? We can Chatzy, or I can hunt up an international plan, or some of our UK compatriots can work that end of things ... but you're not alone. Let us know how we can firm up the ties so that the next time the black dog bites you've got a shoulder.

Really glad you're with us Stim.

Absolutely no reason to apologise and it's never too much trouble to make sure a friend's okay.

Very glad you're okay.

Stimbo - you don't have to apologize. I'm glad you're safe - obviously we were (and are) concerned. I don't know what kind of options you have where you are but please, I hope you find some help. You can't always do it on your own.

I never got caught up on the whole sitch, but I'm glad you are with us and checked in. I've had the police knock hard at 3:30am, but never actually barge in. That sounds even more unreal. Good to have them around, though.

Stay safe.

Just read through the last 16 or so pages.

First of all, I'm happy you're still with us, Stim.  You do matter.  To us, to others, to people you probably don't even realize because life is funny that way.

Second, kudos to everyone who checked in on him and made sure he was okay.  We've got a special group of people here.
