RE: The Newly Departed thread: announcements (departures)

Is ordination where they become nuns cuz... C_L would give those nuns a run for their money!
Funny story..
You know.. I was almost a nun?
Isn't that what they say nowadays??
I considered it though. But.. I was too evangelical to consider Catholicism. IMO it was sacrilege to pray to anyone but the "The One."
When. I was 12 I read a book about Amy Carmichael, missionary orphanage mother exteaordinaire. That's what I wanted to do, and I told god I'm not a nun. But I pledged myself in tears to him mind body spirit and soul.
In hindsight.. LOL
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Things are fine around here, just hard. I was hoping 2017 would be a better year for me and my family, but it has brought on new challenges of its own. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Talk to ya'll later and happy friday!
Oh, I know how you've been.
Have you spotted a strange, chubby little bald guy watching you from a distance?
His name's Kevin, and I hired him to stalk you on our behalf.
He's not supposed to make contact, but if you receive anonymous daffodils, call the police.

Nuns aren't 'ordained'.
Priests are . . . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
