What are you talking about? I never said anything about the ban when discussing niceness. I was responding to bad wolf. I already said I understand why he had to be banned and I always support the mods in those decisions. Even if I don't like it.
Alpha I would suggest you spend the rest of today accusing the mods of being biased and unfair. Please feel free to report every single post that disagrees with you. Perhaps tomorrow I will have a pleasant surprise

No. You simply fail to understand where the line between "insulting" and where it becomes personal is. Insulting is allowed. Making it personal (say, by verbally attacking someone's family members, or one's sexuality, etc) isn't.
There isn't a double standard.
For example, I can say, without breaking a single rule: "alpha male is being an enormous ignorant douche" (*). I could not make speculations as to your mother's sexual habits. One is my opinion of you. The other crosses the line into the personal.
I fully admit that there is subjectivity involved - but it's applied across the board, and we've sanctioned plenty of atheists for that kind of behavior.
(*) Coincidentally, you are being an enormous ignorant douche.
