What I find pathetic and sad is that good people will happily sacrifice "real" peace for an "unreal" promise of an afterlife!

I thought buddhism was rather peaceful at one point, but someone pointed out a story about buddhists killing people. People are people, and people will find reasons to kill from time to time. So there probably isn't a holy book that says thou shalt not kill, and actually sticks to it.
