Hey, need some help on a "story"

RE: Hey, need some help on a "story"
Perhaps a little too obvious, but here goes:

There was a teacher who had a whole class of students who either weren't very smart, or hadn't learned much the year before because no matter how hard they tried they all got D's and F's on all their tests. Or maybe the problem was that the teacher just didn't do that good a job of teaching. But whatever the reason was, the teacher was at wits end because he didn't want to give a whole class of children D's and F's.

So he asked another teacher if he would borrow one of that teacher's smartest kids for his own failing class. The other teacher kindly agreed. They asked the smartest boy in the other teacher's class if he would join the failing class and be an example. And he said he would and that he would help the students in his new class.

All year the transfer student got As and the other students went right of getting D's and F's even though the transfer student helped them as best he could. When the school year was almost over, the teacher asked the transfer student if he would be willing to take an F, if it meant that all the other students would get A's and B's. The transfer student agreed.

So the teacher gave the transfer student an F and all of the other students As and Bs.

But sometime after the report card came out the teacher amended the transfer student's grade to an A. After that he promised to give A's to any new student who would call the transfer student and thank him for taking an F for his class when he had really deserved an A.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Will differently use this! But may I confirm with you what the story is?

It's the insane dog breeder all over again, just rather less violent than the original sacrifice for our sins. Why do you need to know which one I meant, if you can match it up with a bible story on it own?

You might write one about the Parable of the Vineyard Workers yourself. That's the one in which a man hires workers in the morning, and then more later in the day, and more later still. Then he pays the guys who showed up last first and he pays everyone the same amount of money for the whole day. He says that in the kingdom of god the last shall be first and the first shall be last.

You could translate that to kids helping shovel snow, weed, or clean-out a basement. The wages could be ice cream and cake given to the kids who started working last first. Or better yet kids mucking out stalls in stable. Half hour ride each in payment with the kids who worked the longest riding last.

Thanks, I was 99% sure but just wanted to confirm
