A theocratic government that routinely executes homosexuals, apostates and now protestors while financing instability in Iraq through the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, a powerful militia controlled solely by the theocracy, is demonized?
Color me surprised.

Oh,thank you so much for your permission.I can't tell you just how much that means to me.
The term 'sanctimonious prat' just popped unbidden into my mind. I have no idea why.

What, turn-about isn't fair play?

But,but but, you're a CHRISTIAN! Aren't you supposed to turn the other cheek?
Besides, if I wanted to be didactic, and I do,that attitude is based on a logical fallacy, called "tu quoque"

I was appealing to his higher authority since he obviously has some absolute knowledge I don't , If you make an argument from authority a tu quoque is acceptable as a reply no?

NO. It's not acceptable to respond to one logical fallacy with another. Of course I understand this may be a foreign concept to an apologist.

"Ad Hominem is not fallacious if the attack goes to the credibility of the argument. For instance, the argument may depend on its presenter's claim that he's an expert. (That is, the Ad Hominem is undermining an Argument From Authority.) Trial judges allow this category of attacks. " ( ref)
And yes I'm just some delusion apologist that has little to no understanding of your willy word play ways.

The non-existance of god/gods is my default position.
Its up to people like you to prove/convince otherwise.
So far your not doing too well.

I'm not claiming absolute knowledge, nor am I attempting to prove God's existance, I'm just answering questions because I asked some questions and they got answered. I am also not an authority on anything, just a little banter. It's all aside from the OP anyways.

I too am not claiming absolute knowledge.
But I think if there is absolutely no evidence for the existance of something then it is a complete waste of time to believe it exists.
Back to the thread.
How can you abuse something that in all probability does not exist?
