They can't be bothered to learn a bit of basic engineering, so they jump right to the moronically ill-informed conclusion that aliens, with their abilities to traverse light years in jig time, came all the way to earth to build the simplest of all possible structures out of local materials. They might have a better case if the pyramids were built pointy end downwards and made out of Vegan hyper-crystal.
