It's the link in my sig, in the interest of being completely transparent that this is a parody and not a sock puppet.

Oh gotcha. I'll switch from mobile and take a peek.

You can challenge yourself to a formal debate! I think that would be fun.

I haven't seen any success so far but you know how R&D is. Sometimes it takes a while to get that breakthrough.

You won't overtake the 2nd best Christian position with slip ups like that! 3rd best is still pretty good though.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I practically DO debate myself nearly every time I post, packing my own self-refutation within each "argument" I make.

I can think of a few other good examples, some of whom would overtake me for 3rd:

And there's this guy from YouTube:

Reason #10: The Embarrassing Errors

OK, so there are contradictions in the story ...everywhere ...at almost every part ...even on important subjects that the eye-witnesses should have gotten straight like "what decade was Jesus born in" and "how many days after the resurrection did Jesus fly up into the sky."

Not to worry, fellow believers. We can shine this turd up real pretty by calling them "embarrassing errors". This works to our advantage because if it had all been a lie, the disciples would surely have done a better job of getting their story straight.

...unless they were many different authors writing their own fac fic elaborations on the basic story passed along by word of mouth similar to the modern process of internet urban legends but that's just crazy talk. It just doesn't fit with the basic apologetic dilemma of either a group of well-organized conspirators just made the whole thing up or it's all true.

As the early Christian apologist Tertullian famously wrote, "Credo quia absurdum" or "I believe it because it is absurd." If the religion had just been made up, no one would have concocted such an absurd tale.

After all, it's not like the early Church fathers were bad science fiction writers or anything.

I'm just going to keep shoveling until I find Jesus.

Now that I remember it, we did once have a "fake atheist" on this forum. Needless to say, his parody atheism was epically horrible. Fundy Christians don't have either the sense of humor or understanding of atheism to pull it off. I did challenge him to a debate, fake Christian vs. fake atheist once and he accepted but we never got to picking a topic or getting specific.

Is he still around? Anyone know who I'm talking about? Guy with the Batman avatar and the "Atheism Rooolz" slogan under it? What was his screen name?
