Having read enough of her nonfiction when I was younger, I don't think your characterization of her goal in philosophy is very accurate, nor do I think every corporation exemplifies this ethos.

Holy crap. No she was not a great philosopher. She was an ornate writer and elaborate writer. It is still an apology no different than the elaborate crap theists write.

Plato used to be my hero until I read the opening to Dawkins book "The Greatest show on earth". You can argue Plato valued certain things that can apply today. But he fucked up human thought with one very bad idea that humans used for all all sorts of reasons from religion to politics.

He valued questioning. But he also had the idea of simply thinking about something to find it's "essence". This bad idea has fostered horrible defense of political and religious tribalism. Plato had no idea that it wasn't simply good enough to question, modern science needs control groups and testing and falsification.

Rand failed the same way Marx failed and the same way all religions and politics fail. It is club based and is our species failure to understand that in evolution, we have never been monochromatic. There is no utopia, there is no "essence" of anything.

Humans make arguments for their own patterns, their own agendas and life in reality is never as simple as that.

First of all dont compare Marx too Ayn Rand Marx was a genius whose writings changed the way half the world lives. Rand is just a, sort adjunct semi influencial writer with a handful of decent ideas IMHO

But she was atheist Marx however, lived in a time where atheism was practically unheard of.

She's on the same line as the bible. You can cherry pick her quotes. Soemtimes she said things I can agree with, then she goes on to bashing the American natives as savages and goes on to say: "They had no right to a country merely because they were born here and then acted like savages."

Then she says something about reason to be the guide and fighting irrationality, on which I agree and goes on an interview to say the only reason to help someone in need is if it furthers one's own agenda.
