I guess you don't know what schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are, and how they affect people.

In point of fact, I do. But you said, ' I'll either be depressed, tired, or just stressed out.' These symptoms are not unique to either schizophrenia or to bipolar disorder (although bipolar people have periods of severe depression); they are symptoms of what is known clinically as 'having a bad day'. It sounds as if you're using your illnesses as an excuse to take the hop from school, and you want people to take you, 'That's OK.' Again - suck it up and go to school, or get your doctor to excuse you. Boru

Schizophrenia or not, skipping a day of school once in a blue moon isn't a kicker. As long as your grades are good and you can afford it. If your grades are suffering, you shouldn't skip.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Anyway, I was wondering if it's fine to skip a day every now and then (without telling your mom, because you can't contact her in the mornings) and unwind a bit? I have bipolar and schizophrenia, and about once a month, I MUST skip a day. I'll either be depressed, tired, or just stressed out. Any ideas? Also, I'm an atheist. Wear darkened glasses at school... the bright lights are fucking hell with schizo. Crowds are shite, consider having earpiece headphones in without any music playing... possibility it might provide comfort (peeps generally don't allow music, but if you've got it and they cool with it: bring it). It's not about skipping one day a month, and you know that... the comfort it provides is temporary. ... Hi (December 12, 2014 at 2:32 pm)Natachan Wrote: Eh. That would probably be 'Schizoaffective Disorder' (though that depends on whether or not the bipolar affects the schiz... and it's a fucking mess to get into)... but really, it's very hard to nail down WHICH among a subset of personality, mood, and thought disorders a person might have... And the treatment for each is different >__< It's a great big nightmare to diagnose... and most shrinks are utterly *terrified* of identifying schizo in young persons. Trends in psychologist psychology and the difficulty of discernment of disorder... I can see why everyone is so interested in the subject. Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam

You inconsiderate dick -_- Other dudes are depressed because depression happens (whether with reason/"cause" or without). There are lots of reasons to be stressed and tired. School fails spectacularly for many, and you are not the only one affected Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
