What kind of power plant does this train have? Can I shut off a fuel supply line or open a steam release valve or stop shoveling coal?
The guard is a recording, and it's powered by the ultimate force that we can't stop
You lot are rubbish... lol

That's the trouble with these international forums, someone's always asleep...

But would you panic and do it, or would it be measured?

But, a few minutes in, the guard announces on the PA, that the train will not be stopping, and the doors are locked forever, and unfortunately, it's heading towards a disaster. We don't know when, but it will happen and be catastrophic, no survivors guaranteed.
What is your reaction?
Easy, I would exploit everyone's fear of death and tell them that if they do everything I say, I would ask my friend the invisible train brakeman, to stop the train just a second before the crash. I would write a book about all of the things I want them to do to make my invisible brakeman to want to save them. I would tell those that don't obey me that the invisible brakeman won't save then and they will suffer a painful and horrific death. I would have my followers harass all the non-believers.
Doesn't that sound about right?

Wait, how am I rubbish for trying to interrupt the fuel supply on a runaway train?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

NTSB regulations require all trains to have a working emergency brake accessible from each car. I would take a deep Libertarian breath, pull the lever, and stop the train.
