What really interests me is that so much of creationism relies on the idea that God is a deceptive asshole. He seems to manipulate the evidence to a certain conclusion that is, in fact, not the case, and if you believe that it is, then you're at fault.

I enjoyed that as it's a fascinating field of study though I feel too much emphasis is being played upon the number itself by evolutionists and creationists alike rather than the sequencing of primate genome to identify a common ancestor. Besides, were we to have the desired "48", we'd have all sorts of numerical abnormalities resulting in diseases such as Klinefelter's syndrome, Triple X syndrome and Turner syndrome, all rather nasty.

As expected, these constant changes support evolutionary theory and what's more, the human Y chromosome has lost 1,393 of its 1,438 original genes over the course of its existence. It's shrinking with a rate of genetic loss of 4.6 genes per million years, so within the next 10 million years the Y chromosome may potentially lose complete function and in all likelihood be replaced by a new sex chromosome.

Its all about change, not ascension. ;P

Its even more amusing when faced with the incalculable complexity of life they attempt to argue that God is not the author of confusion. One can't help but ask why are they so clueless.
