Of course, remember the Great Depression wasn't the first time the Weimar Republic's economy tanked. Part of the terms Germany had to submit to in the Treaty of Versailles was they had to foot the bill for WW1, a bill that took several years just to tabulate. Eventually, they had to keep printing more and more money just so they could keep up with the payments, which led to the Mark becoming useless and, at the height of inflation, workers had to be paid multiple times every day just so they could be sure that, by the time mealtime came, the money wouldn't be worthless.

To solve this, they came upon the Dawes Plan, and the US had to loan Germany money to pay their debts, and when the US economy tanked, Germany's had to tank as well.

Yeah, all that is true and there has been a lot of unrest going on all through the years of the Weimar republic. But the Nazis were a fringe movement up until 1930 when the economy tanked for good.

All the other crisis like the hyper inflation of 1923 could be averted by clever politicians and all through the 20ies, the German economy did pretty well. Remember, Berlin was one of the places to be at the time, only rivaled by Paris when it came to culture and openess.

This doesn't change that the people in their majority resented the treaty of Versailes. There's a reason why this was the main talking point of the far right and the far left as well.

Here are the results of the ballots to the "Reichstag" from 1919 to 1933. You can see, the NSDAP rose from 2,6% in 1928 to 18,3 in 1930. That's a direct result of the great depression. Also note that the years between 1920 to 1928 were the most stable years of the republic with elections every four years, despite the hyper inflation falling into that period.

All races are equal, the WW2 was purely about politics and not about a nation's or race's superiority. What you're doing here is called political darwinism: thinking that some people is superior or inferior according to the politics and history of the country.

I'd say that war crimes are generally what both sides do. It's just the winning side that holds the trials.

Precise figures are not available, but the firebombing campaign against Japan, directed by LeMay between March 1945 and the Japanese surrender in August 1945, may have killed more than 500,000 Japanese civilians and left five million homeless.

And yes, I know that there was some backyard defense industry in Tokyo. The Japanese were not afforded what we today would call status as humans so the collateral damage was OK if we could get the mom and pop shops.

Yes, but if you actually look at the proceedings of the Nuremberg tribunals, bombing cities didn't make it into the indictment, since the allies knew they had a very weak case on this one.

When it came to war crimes, the defendents were accused of planning aggressive wars, breaking the Geneva convention by systematically exploiting and killing prisoners of war, hostage killings and the general way occupation had been handled, which often times was in direct opposition to what the Geneva convention demanded.

That's a very bigot way to reason. I'm sure that also the Germans found the things that some jews did, and accused them all of what the 0.01% of jews did. It's a lame principle.

Every person is responsible for their actions, not for what their governments do.
If you reason this way, racism would never end. It would be a continuous revenge of old facts, a vicious circle.

But drop this and just tell me why you think that is worth to torture a person who hadn't had a fair trial.

Now, wasn't part of the Nazis "politics" getting rid of jews - saying it was about politics -includes- getting rid of jews, in the case of the Nazis, eh? It's a distinction that makes no difference. Who's racist against germans - and how does that work (how can one be racist against a nationality)? How many is many?
