She needed the gun for protection in case a carrot turned savage and attacked her.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it! RE: Toddler shoots his mother dead

Saw that, now if only she had another gun she could have protected herself from her evil toddler.
Add to this gun nutter another sharp tool. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/12/texas...overnment/
*sigh*
Sometimes I think everyone needs to take a class before they are allowed to carry a gun. My fiancé has a concealed carry permit and is urging me to get mine. Before that he taught me how to fire it, how to take it apart, and the safety associated with handling it. The pistol we have will not just "go off." First the bullet must be out in the chamber and the firing pin engaged. This takes a significant amount of force, I can't do it easily. From there two safeties have to be pressed and held. Only then will the pistol fire. Any idiot who walks around with the firing pin engaged and a round in the chamber is an idiot. But perhaps she had something else, something that is easier to operate. Even so, guns don't just go off. Any idiot who walks a gun that only needs the trigger pulled to fire should not have a concealed carry permit. Leaving your gun in a place where a child can get it shows immense stupidity. Don't ever have to worry about being shot again.
And of course it happened at WalMart.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

It isn't, plain and simple. Did you know that the U.S. is just filled with regular people? Who go about their daily lives and drink coffee and stuff. Gun owners (and it doesn't matter what kind of gun) should be required to individually register and insure every weapon they own. Any conviction for violent crime, crime involving firearms, or diagnosis of disassociative mental disorders, should be accompanied by a lifetime ban from possessing any kind of firearm. A responsible gun owner would have no problem with firearms being regulated. And, since we can't just get rid of guns, we should try our best to make sure that only responsible people possess guns. Yeah... and every day it seems we lose one or two of them to stupid, gun-related shit, like this. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national...-1.2061519 Quote:Samantha Moore, 25, was shot and killed by a friend who tripped and discharged a gun while hunting, authorities said. She and her boyfriend, who had been together since the eighth-grade, got engaged two weeks earlier. |
