By the way, I've looked into the "scriptures" a lot, that's why I know about their reliability.

I don't know how you ended up being a atheist, Enlighten me.

Grr now I have to wade through 10 pages of comments to find this because I want to read and respond to it. 50 lashes with a wet noodle for poor quoting skills.

At first I thought it'd be disrespectful to start such a thread on an atheist forum but now I know you guys don't really mind. I'm going here strictly with a deists view so if you have any argument, direct it as you would direct it to a deist.

I'm curious about the sequel to this thread - "why Christianity".

What are the odds a planet would have the perfect balance of everything to support intelligent life? Apparently at the minimum 1 in 400 billion that we know of so far, as that is how many planets the hubble telescope can see...sounds like chance and circumstance to me, and not creative design. Why create 400 billion+ planets, when all you need is one and a hat source for his life experiment? Speaking of bad designs, how about a heat and light source that bombards "gods" creations in cancer causing rays?
The fact an eyeball even works is bizarre, again, not evidence of perfect design or of a designer...
Also if we were designed, we wouldn't have vestigial bone formations and organs one wouldn't think.
Here are two outstanding books that prove evolution.

When I left my exhusband, I couldn't go to our church anymore. I couldn't go to my family. I was lost and afraid and I had so many questions. I was desperate for answers. One night I decided to email a radio host of one of my favorite Christian radio stations. I titled the email "Where is God?". I told him of my circumstances. I told him of my pain, my fears, my desperation. I was completely alone in the world. Pregnant with 2 small children and terrified and wasn't this the time when God was supposed to be carrying me? So why can't I find him? I've been praying...begging, pleading. He gave me a very long, thoughtful, and encouraging reply. In his reply he told me to "dive into the word of God", "bury yourself in your bible", "if you need answers, you'll find them there" and "if you need God, he'll be there too, waiting for you". So I started reading. As much and often as I could. Slowly realizing that the bible wasn't really anything like I thought. Feeling appalled and even further distanced from god. The bible was so disgusting that for the first time in my life I thought I ought to find out for sure if he's real. Taking an honest look into scripture is what ultimately lead me to become an atheist.

....jesus christ, I've never been able to stomach some of these deconversion stories. What a helpful little werewolf the radio host was.

They are going to carderize a muscle in my heart. I'm not looking forward to it.
I also have a saying from the book of Job.....Though he slay me yet will I trust in him. Job 13:15
