Atheism VS Christian Atheism?

RE: Atheism VS Christian Atheism?
I think there's a big "what the fuck" factor in the label Christian atheist. If the purpose of a label is to condense and communicate a lot of information in a short space, the label fails. You end up having to explain yourself anyway, so why not just lead with a compact explanation instead?

Christian Atheism seems perfectly reasonable to me. There are many atheists who practice paganism, and many Christian beliefs and practices come from paganism. For a person like me who was raised as a Christian, these beliefs and practices have an appeal that goes beyond intellectual.

I know that the OP was speaking of the teachings of Christianity, but there are other things like the hymns, slogans, stories, rituals, etc. that an atheist might value.

I agree that these things can come from secular sources, but culture and childhood brainwashing can make the Christian flavors more appealing.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

What does practising paganism entail?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Here's an article I found interviewing a pagan atheist.

Similar approach should make Christian atheist work IMO.

Kind of odd for you to put your views as 'Christian atheist' when you don't know what it is.

Christian atheism is still atheism. A Christian atheist can still identify as an atheist. A Christian atheist is an atheist who values and tries to follow the teachings of Jesus.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
