If you ask me, namechanges only should be allowed by request and with a good reason, e.g. stalking.
I've already talked to you about PM's and I can agree that permission from an admin is a good idea; but changing only for exceptional reasons is not. Some people like varying and get tired of their username, it happens, it's not asking much to be comprehensive. After all, we have never elected any mod (this is a dictatorship) so we are asking only for a few scraps

Come on, man. Maybe just take a breather for a day. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see why this is effecting you so much. I don't like where this is headed, and I'd hate it if this ended up causing such a quality member to rage quit or whatever.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

adcryface: I just wanted to have a thread where people could say they changed their name and what it used to be.

Not a bad question...
There've always been times like this here, on occasion. Some on the forum (january 2014 comes to mind), some in the chat (mutiny comes to mind)...
Whole bunch of new members around who weren't here to remember these things, go through them in some form again.

I am completely lost as to why this bothers you so much, but I'm sorry just the same. The thread was made for legitimate reasons of wanting to be able to keep track of who is who. Then things got a bit silly, but I just look at it as something to laugh off. If this place wasn't ever silly, I wouldn't come here.

This. Very limited name changes is a good move that was already made afaik... I see no reason to take it further as long as peeps who're changing because of some kind of mafia bug settle down.

Being disrespected as an admin is very stressful; makes one wonder why they're serving a forum that doesn't respect them. <--- Likely.

Alice, you could change your username to Alice In Chains.. It would sound good and fit your neurological deviant behaviour

Mind you, I am giving my opinion on this and I won't make it a case for the staff. Upset I am, not so upset to the point of being stupid.
I might be an admin, but also a regular person. I would never act as an admin just because of being upset.

I haven't seen anyone being disrespectful in this thread though. That's my whole point. People playfully tease each other all the time. Being an admin wouldn't change that.

I respect that. Maybe we can let the thread be for it's original purpose and forget about all the silliness.
