So, I'm trying to understand your position Emily. Is it that you like some of jesus' teachings? That's your position dumbed down for an atheist, that is I'm having trouble following the technicalities.
Hi robvalue
it's the whole spirit of the message
once I understood that "Restorative Justice"
is the term for the transformative process
of redressing and healing wrongs so that the relationship is restored,
then I could connect this with what Jesus Christ represents in the Bible.
It's the SAME process, the Bible describes using religious terms and events.
but people in real life will use secular terms, like grief stages, 12 step recovery,
and other methods of resolving issues to heal and recover to move forward in life.
It's all based on forgiveness so people break the cycles
of abuse and injustice from the past, including ending the
causes of crime poverty and political oppression.
So I know the CONCEPT and Process of "achieving lasting justice"
is universal. and I recognize that Christians will use deified and personified
symbols for truth and justice coming from God and Jesus.
But secular minds will understand Truth and Justice in plain terms
and may not get all the religious symbology used to tell the same story
of wehre humanity is coming from and where we are going as a society.
ideally we should be able to translate back and forth
and know we are talking about the same concepts and principles.
but people aren't taught how to do this,
so that's the process i find myself caught in between.
or more like smashed between by both sides slamming the other
with me in the middle seeing how both are right and not in conflict.
i want out of that compromised position
and not sure the best way to work out conflicts
so i don't keep finding myself smashed in the middle.
I thought I could connect better with Christians and Constitutionalists
and work things out using those systems.
but after being attacked as not a Christian and not a Constitutionalist
that left me with nothing to go on. so i am trying to start again from neutral.

Anyhoo welcome.
You will soon be one of us.
if you look up Troy Brooks online
there is a whole trail of history of Parture getting booted off sites
for promoting his own. I'll leave it at that.
I do want to help resolve these issues so everyone benefits.
I thought it was just me having problems, but lots of people had similar complaints.
