What would I be?

What would I be?
Guys, I've been having trouble finding a word to describe my religious view. I know that there is atheist, agnostic, etc.. But I am not sure what I would be described as.

I know that the god from the Christian Bible, Torah, Quran, blah blah blah is complete bull, and so are those other polytheistic gods, but I think that there is still a chance for a weird-ass god that puts some rules (just a few things at least) in order and even an afterlife. And I don't even think about those "possible" things very often.

Would I be an atheist?? Agnostic??? I'm a bit confused. Haaalp meh

Deist. You're a deist I think. Or agnostic liberal theist
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you

Probably both, it's usually both. If you want only one you could flip a coin or something.

I would say you are a deist. Deists believe in sort of a "prime mover" but not necessarily a god who is interjecting itself or affecting anything at all.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

But I don't really believe in it. I think that there is just a chance

Then you are an agnostic atheist.

So, you don't know that gods exist, and you don't know that they don't exist. Do I have that right? If so, then you are an agnostic.

Now, you haven't said what you believe. Maybe you haven't formed a belief either way. You entertain the possibility that gods exist, but you haven't decided that they do. You also entertain the possibility that no gods exist, but you haven't decided that that's true either.

Does that sound right? If so, you are an atheist, specifically (if you want to get specific) a weak atheist.

Dear Eccentric You and I may be from sister planets. nice to meet you on this one!

Simple if you see life in impersonal terms, you see the forces of God as the forces of LIFE and laws of NATURE then you are a secular gentile and may prefer nontheistic terms for concepts of God and Jesus such as truth, wisdom, justice, life, love, peace etc.

if you enjoy and relate to the language of Christians who refer to these things in personified form, if you related to universal truth as a personal God talking to you as a person, like a heavenly father, or the voice of justice speaking to you through Jesus as a figure, then you may fit in with the theists and Christian believers.

either way I have news for you that these are the same universal truth and laws that people are exploring in our own ways. it doesn't make a difference which way you related to LIFE or the Universe as long as you can communicate and work with others where you enjoy life and make the most of relationships.

all people have cultural differences in how we see and say things.
religions are another layer on top, so once you can see past the layer,
you can explore different religions like you would other cultures and not take them personal as something to judge each other for.

if you need help to translate concepts from one person's worldview to yours and vice versa, let me know. i've had to learn that and become bilingual in both secular speak and this Bible speak business that can be baffling.

so welcome to this weird world called awareness of differences.
I've been living in this state since 1990 and still learning new tricks.
but the things I've figured out might help the next person not to trip on the wild learning curve I had to go through to learn how to interpret these things.

trust me it's the same world we all live in, but people personify earth or truth or life as God and others take the process of realizing justice and personify that as Jesus. we are all talking about the same spiritual process, but some don't get what each other is saying. the buddhists and christians are describing the same process.

the secular gentiles are trying to understand life in secular terms, but it's all the same process humanity goes through. try not to freak out, try to have fun with it.

ive been told I am not from this planet, so maybe our universes are parallel or intersect in some areas. take care and have fun exploring and learning as you go
