All good stuff. Thank you for explaining your views. It is all rather subjective and personal, isn't it, as opposed to hard empirical fact. My only comment is that your view of existentialism seems to focus on the negative guys...Sarte and company. Kierkegaard is an excellent example of a thinker who went beyond reason to find the "truth"... for himself at least. The Christian existentialists and phenomenologists (I judge or damn not based upon religion) also found "knowledge" through non empirical means. Ditto Bergson and the great film critic Bazin.
