I saw this commercial while watching the rerun of the Daily Show earlier today.

I was really surprised to see it and kinda thought it was a big deal. Usually things I think are big deals end up not being a big deal, so I thought I'd see what you guys think.
ETA: For those who can't watch he's basically promoting atheism, secularism, and separation of church and state. His closing line goes something like "Ron Reagan...life long atheist...not afraid of burning in hell." But on TV!

I like it. There's no fanfare or aggressiveness. Just a simple, "I'm an atheist, and I support these guys" which is made that much more powerful by the fact that it's coming from conservative dream-boat Ronald Reagan's son. It took the high road without taking itself too seriously by adding the "Not afraid to burn in hell" part at the end.
Well done.

Place your bets. How long before that shit stain, Michael Reagan, blasts Ron for this ad?

Ha And I thought the "Ron Reagan" was just an ironic coincidence. Where have I been?
I agree. There's really no way to go about this that won't deeply offend every theist in America, but this was a good honest try. Putting myself in their shoes, I could see them calling him smug.
Side note- His voice sounds like a blend of Hugh Laurie as House and Mike Rowe. He kinda of resembles them, too.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
