I tried to test my belief in any of the OP points.
Closest I could come is a tentative yes to "Islam is seen as a political ideology, used for political or military advantage." because of the clear military and political aims of ISIL while it claims to be Islamic. But most Moslems don't fall into this bucket.

This is a problem of equivocation where Islam is a single word used to self describe multiple groups. I can't use the same word for the Moslems who use fascist and barbaric tactics to oppress and to gain political or military advantage from the Moslems who do not use fascist and barbaric tactics to oppress and to gain political or military advantage.

Is there a new word we can use for the latter? Both groups seem to want to lay claim to being the true followers of Islam.

I suppose I am half and half. We have seen how much damage muslims can do, and the Sikhs can testify to that when they were constantly attacked by Mughuls a few centuries ago. Here is one article about it:

This is on the grand scale as God when he ordered his people to kill all men, rape women and pillage in the Old Testament. As far as I'm concerned, I would put Islam in joint first position along with Roman Catholicism as being barbaric.

Also, I don't think that's a terribly useful test. I think the only real points are that if you think Muslims are less human than you based solely on their religion, then you might be Islamophobe. If you use that belief to justify differential treatment for Muslims as a group, then you almost certainly are. Being aware of the propensity for a religion to be used in politics, ideelogy, or militarily doesn't imply that you despise the believers of that faith, necessarily. There are other non sequiturs in there, as well.

We have heard so many times as to how the Catholic church helped the Nazis. What is often forgotten is the fact that Islam did exactly the same, if not worse. Hitler, the nazis and Islam and why not add catholics to that group too; shared exactly the same hatred for Jews.

The Grand Mufti was a very influential man and shared the same ideals as his counterpart Adolf i.e. commit genocide, exterminate those who are different, exterminate those who are weak etc. The way I see it is like this, whatever went on in Auschwitz and other extermination camps mirrored what went on in the old Testament; only those who were strong could survive. Islam and Catholicism = fascist theologies.
