Which religion would you like to be true?
March 16, 2015 at 6:59 am
So let's say you could pick a religion to be true. With the nature of the deity, requirements, benefits and afterlife etc.
Which one would you go for?
I'm quite liking the norse myself. Valhalla seems an excellent afterlife, and I believe the norse God's require relatively little by way of obescence.
You can pick religions found in fiction, but not ones you've made up yourself.

"The Old Gods" from Game of Thrones. They're about as deistic as it gets.

Indian beliefs of reincarnation. It sounds better than spending my life worshiping someone just so I can go to an afterlife where I get to worship him for the rest of eternity. I just wish I could remember past lives. Self enlightenment, and an afterlife that is based on deeds instead of words sounds more appealing.

Reincarnation with karma, or just like, random reincarnation? Because the whole karma thing can get sinister really quick, like the people suffering now deserve it because in a previous life they were asses.

Yeah, Dionysus was great. I mean, god of wine and festivals? You'd have to be a prude among prudes to hate that.

The early, pre-monotheistic, goddess religion of the people prior to, around, and slightly after the Minoan period, a simpler time before religion truly became corrupted by the evils of patriarchy.
