I just found an outstanding version of one of my favourite pieces from the concert band repertoire, Holst's First Suite for Military Band in E-Flat Major, performed by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra:





Great playing, great recording.  I'd love to hear them perform live, or even to just sit in on one of their rehearsals.

Yes.  Also this






was based on the Minuet in G from the Anna Magdalena Notebook, and this






came from Beethoven's Sonata #8 in c ( Pathetique) 2'd movement.

A good tune is a good tune, no matter what century it is.

I might try to see Swan Lake, as done by California Ballet Company on Sunday. So I am listening to Op. 20 by Tchaikovsky on Spotify.
