Being a Noob is hard but here goes...

RE: Being a Noob is hard but here goes...
Hi Judi, welcome to the forum Smile

I'm sorry you got messed around so much as a child. Religion should keep its dirty claws off children. People know they have to kidnap brains when they are young because they can't sell their horse shit to adults. (Watch them try on this forum!)

It's good you are letting go of your anger. Having a little bit of anger as a motivating force can be a good thing I have found, I'm angry at religion because of all the harm it does even though I've never been religious. It drives me to do what I can to fight that harm and to support atheists coming out of it. It is natural to feel angry after being passed from pillar to post. But if there is no where useful to direct the anger anymore, then letting go of it completely is certainly the best plan.

Ah roller skating... I used to skate all the time when I was younger, I miss it so much now. There isn't anywhere near to me I can do it, it's one of the few ways I feel really free. I gotta find my skates first, not even sure where they are!

Welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine Smile

Your story is fascinating. Your input on the boards will be valuable. I hope you stick around.

Thank you Smile I just hope I have enough intelligence to meaningfully contribute. I will be the first to admit that I am not as knowledgeable as I would like to be.
Lack of intelligence isn't stopping me from posting. Tongue

Hi Judi, Welcome from the UK!

Looks like you're settling in well. May I offer you a cup of tea? Maybe some biscuits?

Sounds like you have an interesting life in the real world. I look forward to finding out more about it.

BTW, as my fellow pedant Brian says, you didn't 'convert to atheism', you deconverted from your other religions. Atheism is simply the word used when there are no religions left (although there are atheistic religions, as you probably know with a wiccan husband).

Honestly, I really don't know all that much about the Wiccan religion. We never talk about it. He's not a real talkative guy... he does however enjoy some serious deep couch sitting after work.
