I'd still feel safe. They've got tons of chemicals I'm sure we could use on the zombies.

What I find curious is that people judge the morality of modern lifestyle based on words written down by people that lived in 1500 B.C.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

-like soldiers do. Hell, that could be a brilliant working definition of soldiering right there.

"Killing people and breaking things".

Perhaps a slight rearrangement? It would be ideal if a soldier could take an objective without being shot? We could brainstorm these all day, I'd bet.

Quote:“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
"Fire for effect" -soldiers.

It's a strange position we find ourselves in...in that I've found occasion to remind you that we're not all the immoral cunts you suspect yourself to be.....and yet your idealized version of what we -are- , at least in this case...is too generous by a mile. Strange combination. Let me make sure I got this right...

Starving people throw out their morals....but soldiers.........?

You're not easily embarrassed...are you?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I'll take that as a no.

You realize that societies have rules, that even groups of 5 people have rules? That people even have little private rules that bump around in their heads?

I wasn't in an actual "war", but I was deployed as a peacekeeper during the Bosnia conflict.
