A couple of thoughts:
(1) No daughters are mentioned in Genesis (that I recall), but no daughters were required to make it work. The sons could simply marry those hot monkey women.
(2) Before the flood, there must have been many humans with no DNA from Adam. The population of Homo sapiens monkeyus must have been quite large 6000 years ago when Adam was kicked-out of the Garden of Eden.

As for your first thought, Genealogies trace bloodlines. So only first born males who had heirs, were recorded.
For instance, Abel was never recorded in the genealogy of Adam, because he died having no sons.

Cain, also wasn't part of Adam's genealogy, but for a different reason...

Question: "Why Christian theism and not deism?"

Because deism emasculates our loving lord Jesus and turns him into an absent-minded hippy scientist who left us in a petri dish on a shelf somewhere in his lab and how are we going to use that to justify our anti-gay and anti-choice legislation.

Question: "How can you be that fucking stupid?"

Because you don't need a brain when you've got Jesus!

Question: "Are you a young Earth creationist?"

Well, I'm not sure that we can call 6,000 years to be "young" but maybe the earth is going through a mid-life crisis and we should be sensitive.

Question: "Do you believe all humans descend from Adam and Eve who committed an original sin?"

It'd never been done before. Eating a magic fruit after speaking with a talking snake. That sounds pretty original to me.

But yes, as a True Christian ™, I don't see how you can fail to believe in Adam and Eve as the progenitors of the human race. I mean, if the Garden of Eden is just a fable, than when did "The Fall" happen. If it didn't happen, what did Jesus save us from. Without the whole Garden of Eden story, Christianity falls apart.

Question: "Do you believe Adam and Eve descended from Homo erectus?"

Descended from a homo erectus? Why, that just sounds disgusting. What are you suggesting about the sexual orientation of our Lord and his state of arousal?

Question: Since most creationists are big on the "we're you there" or "did you see it" lines of reasoning, I want to know have you ever seen or been present when even a single atom was spoken into existence?

No, but Gawd did and as Ken Ham said, we have a book that explains it.

Jack Chick, in his immortal classic "Big Daddy", came up with a creative interpretation of Col 1:17 and John 1:3 to figure out that atoms are held together by Jesus. Seriously.

Jesus is the Strong Force. Can you think of one stronger?

Question: "Where did these 'monkey men' come from?"

GodDidIt.

Question: ".. and more importantly, were there also monkey ladies in waiting, and, if so, how hot were they?"

GodDidIt with a bunch of spare ribs.

He was good. I've tried enhancing my dating life by trying to conjure up women from ribs but it hasn't worked so far.

I may have to pray harder.

Question: "Creationists, do you believe the Earth is flat with a dome above it, and water surrounding creation above and below?"

Soooo, you want to know if I really believe the Bible then?

You probably already know this, since you're an atheist, but just in case, here's a quick Bible study on how science has lied to you.

First, the Lord created the Heavens and the earth, spending an entire day on this thing we call the firmament.

Quote:Gen 1:6-8 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

This was the one accomplishment that our Lord didn't declare to be "good". Every other creation day, he patted himself on the back. I guess he wasn't so proud of this work. Anyway, the verses make it clear that the universe was composed of water and these waters are now divided between the sky-dome he made in verse 8. The ancience Hebrew word "firmament" also translates to "dome" and the word "Heaven" is the same as the word "sky". So verse 8 can be faithfully translated to "God called the dome sky".

The Book of Isaiah makes it clear the world is a flat circle.

Quote:Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Now you know how tents work? Piece of cloth over top a flat surface. They don't work so well when built around a globe.

Now godless heathen trash often like to ask questions like can our god create round squares. Well, the Lord did just that with the earth. On the one hand, Isaiah describes it as a "circle". On the other hand, it has four corners. CHECKMATE ATHEISTS!

Quote:Isaiah 11:11-12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Bit of Bible trivia: Did you know that the above named country of Cush had a serious illegal immigration problem?

So either the Bible is wrong, and that CAN'T be the case, or scientists have lied to us and the world really is flat with a dome over it and surrounded by water.

Checkmate you dumb-ass sissy phony Christians who make concessions to godless science.

Glory!

Thanks, I wasn't aware that only males with children were recorded, so Adam may or may not have had daughters.
However, there is another argument for Drich's theory that Adam's children married the naturally evolved humans - genetic diversity. I don't know how many humans are required to start a healthy population, but I'm sure it is more than two.
