"The Great Relish Mystery"
#11
RE: "The Great Relish Mystery"
I make my own dill relish all the time. I prefer it over sweet relish. I use Claussen Dill sandwich pickles and yellow onions. Then cumin and chili powder. Mmmmmmmmmmnomnomnom.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Cumin is one of my favorite spices. That and Turmeric.
I have over 100 different spices in my pantry. They are all necessary evils and a requirement because I'm Italian.

Yes, depending on where you live, you may be forced to make your own dill relish, or you cannot have it at all.  And, of course, dill relish is far better than sweet relish.  Most people prefer dill pickles for a reason.

But this is America!  Where is our freedom to choose ready-made dill relish?  Did we throw off British rule for nothing?
