Sometimes..

RE: Sometimes..
I am as deep as my coffee cup and as forward thinking as my coffee pot. The world is important to pay attention to yes, but I already tried chasing what other people said I should, if titles and wealth meant something Walmart should write their own moral bible.

Just be yourself, if you have something you want to do, try sure, but don't kill yourself if you don't get to the top, the reality is most people are lucky if they can keep a roof over their heads and pay their bills.

You can turn it off, but not for just a break.  And turning it off is not as easy as flipping a switch.  If it were, there would be a lot more people committing suicide than there are at present.  It is quite a bother, and it involves fighting against instinct.  People often imagine that it is somehow rational to live, but it is instinct.  If it were based on reason, primitive animals would not be acting in ways that tend to keep them alive.  The will to live, if you will pardon the expression, is more basic than something based upon the uncertain reasoning of people.  Evolutionarily speaking, the ability to reason comes after the will to live.  Of course, I am writing of this in a loose manner, but the basic idea is correct.

"A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence."

On a related nerd note, if I'm lucid enough, I'm going to try to make sure my last words are, "I don't want to go."

It's worth a shot.

I'm sorry to bum everyone out. The thing that pisses me off about life is you can't turn it off for a break. Like you say, it's an MMO with extremely shitty parts to it that you are trapped in.

I try to enjoy it as much as I can, and to help others be well and enjoy their life. It's all we can do really.

I just wish we could know how the story turns out.

You know, get an epilogue before you clock out.

I can relate. I'm currently climbing out of the abyss of depression myself. In my low points, I would think the same thing. It's physically painful and you just feel so exhausted, physically and emotionally. I don't know what struggles you're faced with but maybe it would help if you knew it can be beaten.

RE: Sometimes..
Sometimes I wake up at 6 AM on a Saturday and I'm like "I'm going to be late to work" and then realize I don't have to be at work until 7 AM since it's the weekend.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
