Unashamedly off-topic, but back in the day Sam and I spent a day in Oxford. Beautiful place; no cars allowed in the city centre, it's the bus, bikes or feet. All the buskers are music students, so it's all violins and oboes playing classical music. There's almost zero graffiti but what there is of it is all in Latin. It's an alien world.
As for me, I like piddling about with photoshop, trying out tutorials from youtube and wherever. Nothing major but I can put something together if I had to. Lately I've been trying to get into Shell's pants - sorry, I meant to say trying to get into Adobe After Effects, with an eye to some of the more advanced work it can do.
I've also got a system for solving a Rubik cube 100% of the time, if that counts as a hobby. I don't even have to look while I'm doing it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Taking to it with a hammer and then gluing it back together doesn't count...

Er, no not really. This one cost me fifteen quid, so I'd like it to last a bit.

I have a job that nobody wants and not many care for or respect. At least not these days.
I am a Military Policeman in the USN, stationed in the Middle East. My job used to be the same as everyone else, where I would guard a gate, scan the perimeter of the base, and even do the occasional law enforcement task. However, ever since I hit my year mark over here, they moved me to a desk job, kind of like dispatcher.
I literally sit in an office all night (by myself most times) and type up reports, as well as dispatching people where they need to be. It gets incredibly boring, but at least I have internet access (which is why I am active a lot during work).

That sucks. Did they make you change your rate insignia?

Haha no, even though I basically do the job of a YN. But I am still technically MA, since I still carry a gun everyday, and I still leave the desk occasionally if someone else can sit there for a minute while I go on a rove.
I don't mind the desk job though. I feel like that job will at least give me skills that matter when I become a civilian again. I am not interested in being a civilian cop, so I am not overly upset.

I play god in my yard. "You're a weed and shall die." "Your audition here is over; to the compost with you!" Occasionally I look out over all that I have created and see that it is good.

I'm retired due to disability. But I have worked as a telephone salesman, various jobs at a major regional supermarket chain, and as a library assistant.
Soccer is my main interest (fan: Premier League, MLS, USMNT/USWNT, NWSL, NCAA). But I enjoy local politics. Monthly there is a meeting for councils of some of the neighborhoods of the City, where they bring in City representatives and officers to talk about everything from bike lanes to a huge gondola project (think "Oregon Health & Science University") that may be in the works...oh, and, do an extent, the Charger stadium (though that's in a different council district).
