Not far from where I live two Westerville, Ohio police officers were shot and killed while responding to a potential domestic violence call.
Quote:WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- Two police officers were fatally shot responding to a potential domestic situation in Ohio on Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The shooting suspect was wounded in the incident and taken to a nearby hospital.
The shooting took place around 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Crosswind Drive. Officers were responding to a 911 call at the address, and were fired upon when they arrived at the scene.
The victims were later identified as 54-year-old officer Anthony Morelli and 39-year-old officer Eric Joering, Westerville Police Chief Joe Morbitzer announced during a press briefing Saturday.
Joering, a 16-year veteran, was killed at the scene. Morelli, a 29-year veteran, died in surgery at Ohio State University Medical Center, Morbitzer said.

That's what you get in a culture where it is too easy to own a gun.

It's also the predictable result of anger AT the police because of the actions and attitudes to the public BY the police. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

There are years police doesn't shoot anybody and don't get shot at in Portugal. Heh firearm deaths here are usually family feuds due to property issues or jealous husbands killing their wives.

I think the US main pollution source is guns. Too much lead in the air.

Where was your post for the numerous times that cops did the killin' Kinda silent on the home front for that weren't you?
There are already 2 threads on this forum dedicated exclussively to that. Not sure why you or anyone else would have a problem with 1 thread dedicated to the good cops.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

American cops have always been part of the oppressive racist system, like the slave patrols. If you haven't noticed American cop cars are usually painted black and white, which sets up a line of binary thinking. In other countries they paint their cop cars in more user -friendly paint schemes. So right off the bat when a person encounters a cop in America he's in for a bad experience.
