Damned Texans

RE: Damned Texans
It's cool. It just gets old being singled out, very often by people who only go by headlines -- not that that's what's happening here.

The whole Jade Helm thing, for instance -- everyone talks about how it demonstrates our stupidity, but only a tiny proportion of dumbasses take it seriously. Most folks I've talked with shake their heads thinking about the tinfoilers.

As for the politicians, yeah, they're stupid here. Majorly stupid. The anti-fracking thing appalls me. I'm on the libertarian side of independent, so the hypocrisy is plain to see.

Of course, I'm not trying to finance my reelection campaign with corporate donations, either.

I don't understand this. If they are charged as adults then how can they be charged with truancy?

That issue was raised in the very first reply, in post 2 of this thread.  Apparently, the answer is, "it's Texas."  (From post 3.)

I didn't want to mention this publicly -- security concerns and so forth -- but the truth behind Jade Helm 15 is that it isn't a joint military exercise or a federal power grab.  It's actually a rescue operation designed to get the four-thousand Texans who haven't lost their minds (plus those who make the best barbeque) out of that state and back to the U.S. where they belong.  Stand by for further instructions.  You will be given a set of coordinates.  Once received, you will have 12 hours to make it to the pick up site to be airlifted to safety.  Do not be late!  Any stragglers will be stuck in Texas.  Attempts to leave Texas for any adjoining states will be dealt with by CBP, and those caught will be repatriated to Waco.

Keep this to yourself, P.T.

Precisely the kind of fuckhead who shouldn't be allowed any where near a gun.
