By the way welcome to the forum. I made you some THC welcome muffins so you could try to test you theory. Not sure how it works but it could be mind altering or just leave you with the giggles and the munchies. Enjoy

Yes, I understand. I may have not expressed my self properly. The point I was trying to make is when in this 'altered' state, you truly do believe that you are in a new world even if you aren't, with the same belief I have right now that I am living my life in this world. Do you understand what I am trying to get at?

I am not saying that the drug transports yourself to a whole new world. I am trying to say it causes your brain to understand in a new way, and this new way creates a 'new world', which doesn't follow the same rules and laws Physics as in the 'real' world. Both 'worlds' are as life like as each other, your brain is the same, the only difference is the way your brain processes information.

Are you trying to ask something like:

"How do we distinguish our current (supposedly real) interactions and understanding of reality from a delusion (such as when under the influence of drugs) about which the one experiencing the delusion could be equally as 'certain'?"

This here world is self-consistent. I can relate to other beings that are like me and get confirmation for my experiences. In the other world you propose, I more or less have to become a Solipsist. The world that I inhabit when I'm not high therefore has several special properties of consistency that justify naming it "reality" that the others you propose do not have. In other words, I demand certain properties from a reality without which it simply isn't interesting as a serious candidate.

We don't. But that is not a parsimonious explanation of conscious perception, nor does it comport with the evidence we have regarding this reality.

This adds to my point, if you were to take DMT right now, you will be transported to a whole new world, the way you perceive information is now completely different to what has been since you have lived. So.. when you are born DMT can be seen in the brain in large quantities.. and when you die DMT can be seen in the brain in large quantities. Can you see the link?

You would not be transported to a new world. Your perceptions would be changed. That is a big, big difference.

How have you determined that your 'new world' does not 'follow the same rules and laws [of] Physics?'
What is the energy of a sky blue photon in DMT world?
Available evidence shows it is the same world, only your perceptions have been muddled.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Yes.
A person may be on drugs and that person may be hallucinating. However the point is not that, 'oh he is on drugs' forget how the brain was altered or what physical thing was used. The point is, the brain is capable of seeing, interacting in such a manner, which just is impossible to comprehend in the normal world.
Furthermore, I am not taking about a foreign substance which changes the way your brain works, DMT is already naturally produced in the brain.

If the brain is capably of being in a world where such unimaginable things can happen, why is it in the current level consciousness which it is in now? It is possible for it to produce more DMT and then suddenly the world we currently perceive is no longer.

I can't put my tongue on it... the only factor is time, which differentiates the 'two worlds'.

Imagine a timeline which stretches a billions years.

for a 1000 years humans live in the level of consciousness which I described, then for the remaining 999000 years humans live in our current level of consciousness.
The 1000 years is insignificant in the timeline, is it not? At the time for the humans  during those 1000 years that would have most definitely have felt the 'norm' for them.
But when you stretch the timeline you will not even notice those 1000 years, however it did exist.
Now if we look at that in our say 70 years of life we live. For 70 years we live our 'normal' level of consciousness, however for an hour out of those 70 years a person lives a completely new level of consciousness experiencing a completely new 'world' (by increasing level of DMC in the brain). The time is so short in the 70 year life, it can be passed as insignifcant, however it did exist. if that 70 years were to be expaned to a 70 billion years that 1 hour would equate to nearly a 1000 years. Imagine living in this mind frame for a 1000 years. This is just a matter of time.

The point I am trying to bring across is that just the way you and I believe right this moment we are living in planet Earth and all this is real, whilst in this altered DMT state of mind everything feels so real with the same belief you and I have right now the I am real and you are real. So both instances feel as real as each other during the time you are in that state of mind. Both states of minds exist the only difference is the time you are in the state of that mind.

I have determined that this new world does not follow the laws of physics because of the way things move the way you travel communicate telepathically and so on.
