Why would I want my own species to fail? If anything, I hope that technology will continue to not only improve human lives but connect us to one another even more.  At least in the US, crime rate is dropping so things aren't as bleak as you have been led to believe. We have problems but those are solvable. 

It would make better sense for Christians to not reproduce. First of all, Christianity teaches that things will get gradually worse and that most people will be fooled to accept an ant Christ as a leader. Accepting this leader will cause many billions of people untold suffering for eternity. Why would you risk that your children or grandchildren or great grandchildren will suffer torment forever and ever
