So what was the conclusion of this thread?
That people have the right to believe in straightness(diagonals, verticals, and horizontals alike), but none of that curved shit. Because obviously a curve is just a line on a non-euclidean plane. And we all know that euclidean geometry is the right geometry.

I think the conclusion from this thread is, theists who don't understand the concept of atheism are really bad at pretending to be atheists.

The very simple take away we want theists to understand is that our laws of chemistry, eg, the periodic table, the laws of planetary orbits, laws of gravity, etc, aren't just earth's laws. They are laws of the universe which have been around for at least 13.7 billion years. All humans have done is discover and verify these laws.
Theists have a problem differentiating between "superior" technology or "undiscovered" universal laws and "magic"! The gods of all sacred texts are simply the garden variety disneyland style "magic".
So long that as grown adults, they insist on believing in the "unbelievable", then they can only be comforted by the term "god works in mysterious ways". This is their way of coming to terms with the fact that for all intents and purposes, their "god" acts like he doesn't exist. Guys, time to grow up......

Okay, guys, since the most interesting things to happen in this thread have been (at least in my opinion), Redbeard The Pink's use of a pink font, and my ultra-rabid response to that font, then let me say a couple things about that. If anyone's sincerely still interested in the OP, then don't worry-- this is the last I have to say about it.
1) I apologize unconditionally to Redbeard and the forum members who admonished me. My tone was unnecessarily belligerent, and more than a little rude, not only to Redbeard himself but also to anyone else who had the misfortune of reading my post. I'm very sorry. I think a PM to him, or to a mod about post-formatting rules, would have been better.
2) I still want to talk about it, because there's a discrepancy that seems a little strange to me. Why is one man's annoying use of all-caps admonished, while another guy's attempt to draw attention using unusually-colored fonrts considered an expression of self, to be embraced and encouraged? This seems a double-standard. If a guy called himself "Hatboy the All-caps man" would he then be fine writing all posts in all-caps? If not, what's the difference?
Due to vision/neurological problems, and possibly compounded by graphical/internet settings, Redbeard's post actually caused me physical discomfort that's hard to explain-- it's something like the whistling audio artefacts you hear when a lot of people are screaming at the same time. If there is a filter to block all bright text, or a way to force all fonts on the forum to display in black, or a feature to block individual users' posts from displaying, I would like to know, so that I can avoid having to squint and get headaches while I attempt to avoid Redbeard's posts in the future. I know that many forums have the latter, but I can't seem to find the setting. Better would be some kind of theme setting, because looking back, it looks like Redbeard's comments were among the most lucid in this spaghetti-forsaken thread: if I had some control over the display of the forum, he could go on being his pink little self, and I could read his comments without jabbing steak knives into my eyes.
Okay, I'm sorry for flogging this dead horse, but I wanted to put words to the sincere reaction I had to RB's first post. It was definitely rude and hysterical, but at least you guys now know why it was that I responded rudely and hysterically.

What post formatting rules? We don't have any regarding font or color; the only one we have, really, isn't even a rule, but a suggestion about quoting large walls of text.

We don't have rules about posting in all caps, either. If people are admonished for it, it's only because they've annoyed someone. We don't take any official action.

I'm sorry about your problems, but if they're that bad, you probably shouldn't be on a computer at all. I don't know of any settings in which you can change your display here. If it's that bad, you could put our pink friend on ignore, if you wanted to.

I guess... if being mean is sincere for you. Also, it's not your place to tell people how they can and can't post.

I actually don't mind the darkish pink font. Certainly not a manly colour, but each to the own.
I might start using a dark orange myself soon. That way, eventual we can subliminally celebrate the new SCOTUS ruling!

I apologized sincerely for being a jerk, and I'm at peace with that now. I'd ask you to consider that just because something seems fine and comfortable to you, doesn't mean it isn't very unpleasant for others: the truth is that I didn't expect that discomfort either, because at first sight, the pink didn't bother me that much-- it was after a couple seconds that the effect I described "kicked in": something like the visual equivalent of fingernails on a chalkboard, or like sound interference or something. But it's not like anyone could have predicted that effect, which is why I'm sorry that I made that post.
But if what you want to take away is just that I'm a jerk, then that's up to you. I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks that.

Boru has justified his position on antipizza via scriptures.
If you want validity for your antipinkfont position, you'll also need to quote some "official" scripture with citation of course.

I think the conclusion of this thread is that if you want to hold an opinion, you need to first check that everyone in the world is OK with you having that opinion.

Better yet: rather than forming opinions of your own, just listen to what the majority seem to be saying, and then "discover" that's what you believed all along.
